• Usage Data: We track how you use our service, including the number of pages processed, comparisons made, and features accessed.
• Browser Data: We use cookies and session IDs to maintain your session, especially for anonymous users. This helps us provide a consistent experience.
• Payment Information: When you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Process and compare your bank statements
• Provide and improve our services
• Process payments
• Send you important service updates (if you're subscribed)
• Respond to your inquiries and support requests
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
• Comply with legal obligations

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate our platform:

• Bank Statement Converter API: We use this service to parse PDF bank statements. Your PDF files are sent to their servers for processing. Please review their privacy policy for how they handle your data.
• Stripe: We use Stripe to process payments. Stripe handles all payment information securely. We only receive confirmation of successful payments.
• Supabase: We use Supabase to store your account data, transaction data, and usage logs. Supabase provides secure, encrypted database storage.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

4. Data Security

We take data security seriously:

• All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS
• Data at rest is encrypted using industry-standard encryption
• We use secure authentication methods and never store passwords in plain text
• Access to your data is restricted to authorized personnel only
• We regularly review and update our security practices

However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data at any time. Upon deletion, your data will be immediately removed from our systems
• Export: You can export your comparison data using the export features in the app
• Correction: You can edit and correct transaction data within the app
• Opt-Out: You can unsubscribe from email communications at any time

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account:

• All your personal information is immediately deleted
• All uploaded bank statements are permanently removed
• All transaction data and comparisons are deleted
• All usage logs are removed

We may retain certain anonymized, aggregated data for analytical purposes, but this cannot be used to identify you.

7. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

• Maintain your session (especially for anonymous users)
• Remember your preferences (like dark mode)
• Track usage for service improvement
