1. Service Description

Our service is a bank statement comparison tool that allows you to upload PDF bank statements, extract transaction data, and compare spending across multiple statements by category. The service uses automated parsing technology to process your statements and categorize transactions.

2. User Accounts

When you create an account:

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must not share your account with others
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• One person or entity may maintain only one account

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use our service only for lawful purposes. You agree NOT to:

• Upload malicious files, viruses, or any code designed to disrupt our service
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble our service
• Use automated systems to access our service in a way that could damage or overload our systems
• Use our service to violate any laws or regulations
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers connected to the service
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service

4. Payment

If you buy a page pack:

• Page packs are a one-time purchase
• Payment is processed securely through Stripe
• Purchased pages are added to your account and stay until you use them
• Buying another pack adds more pages; it does not start a subscription
• Refunds: Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us at hello@cleancutsystems.com to discuss refund eligibility
• We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time. The price you pay is the price shown at checkout
• If payment fails, pages are not added until payment succeeds

5. Service Availability

Our service is provided "as is" and "as available":

• We do not guarantee that the service will be available 100% of the time
• We may experience downtime for maintenance, updates, or unforeseen circumstances
• We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time
• We are not responsible for any loss of data or functionality during service interruptions
• We may impose usage limits based on your plan

6. Intellectual Property

Intellectual property rights:

• You own all rights to the data you upload and the comparisons you create
• We own all rights to the platform, software, design, and technology
• You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of our service
• You may not use our trademarks, logos, or branding without our written permission
• You grant us a license to use your data solely for the purpose of providing the service

7. Limitation of Liability

Important limitations:

• We are not responsible for any financial decisions you make based on our service
• We do not provide financial, legal, or tax advice
• The service is provided for informational purposes only
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
• We are not responsible for any loss of data, profits, or business opportunities

8. Data Accuracy

Regarding data accuracy:

• We use automated parsing technology to extract data from your bank statements
• While we strive for accuracy, parsing is not 100% perfect
• You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of parsed data
• You can edit and correct transaction data within the app
• We are not liable for any errors in parsed data
• You should always verify important financial information independently

9. Termination

Either party may terminate:

• By You: You can delete your account at any time
• By Us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, fail to pay, or engage in fraudulent activity
• Upon termination, your access to the service will be immediately revoked
• Upon account deletion, all your data will be permanently removed (see Privacy Policy)
• We are not obligated to provide you with a copy of your data after termination
• Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (like intellectual property and liability limitations) will survive

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by:

• Posting the new Terms of Service on this page
• Updating the "Last Updated" date
• Sending an email notification (for significant changes)

Your continued use of our service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the service and delete your account.
